    The Claims Management Professional is responsible for providing superior consultative services to Emplicity’s clients by representing their best interests when interacting with carriers and clients. This position is mostly remote, however there may be some travel. Must reside in California or Nevada.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain knowledge of current industry developments and best practices.
    • Participate in committees and projects that will support the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Assist with high-level client contact and escalated customer service issues in resolving claims.
    • Be a client advocate and liaison between claims and client.
    • Support clients with subject matter expertise.
    • Manage and support direct reports.
    • Report to upper management to communicate goals with direct reports and reinforce/monitor behavior that furthers technical and customer service performance expectations.
    • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree or relevant experience preferred.
    • 5+ years of senior level work handling California workers’ compensation indemnity claims preferred.
    • 5+ years handling large complex clients.
    • Proven expertise in managing complex claims is preferred.
    • Possession of a certificate in Workers' Compensation from an institution recognized by the California Department of Insurance or the Insurance Education Association or willingness to obtain.
    • Spanish speaking preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, which may include standing, talking, hearing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and using hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
    • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
    • Occasional travel may be required.
