    Job Description

    CHANGING LIVES ONE DAY AT A TIME

    We are seeking an energetic Cash Application Specialist to join our Dallas, TX team. If you are a dynamic individual who loves working in a fast-paced environment and helping to change people’s lives, then we are the company you have been searching for! 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work VMS cash application on assigned accounts based on the workup files received from the CDS team
    • Work Special Handling or Consolidated accounts assigned on UAC Report
    • Apply customer’s payments through the Lawson portal AR33
    • Run AR230 to verify balance against cash report
    • Transfer, re-batch, or split payments in Lawson portal as requested from the CDS team
    • Work all unapplied duplicate, overage, and sent/paid in error payments which are turned in to be converted to payment credits
    • Turn in the documentation for review and conversion to credits
    • Research unassigned payments in Lawson and assign to the customer for application of payment
    • Work all HDT tickets assigned
    • Train and assist new AR coordinators when needed
    • Review unapplied cash reports to make sure all conversions for overpays and duplicate payments have been completed.
    • Make sure all cash has been applied and all unapplied payments resolved or converted
    • Check AR28 for unassigned payments and apply them to customer accounts
    • Check AR24 to make sure all payment batches have been released

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • 2+ years of hands-on AR experience in a high volume environment
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to follow standard operating procedures
    • Ability to work tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
    • Team player, flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels as well as internal and external customers
    • Ability to demonstrate integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information
    • Ability to practice outstanding customer service
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment with minimum daily direction
