    __PARKING LOT ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION

    __**

    Summary**__

    __****__Provides parking services, public relations services, enforcement of parking regulations, and traffic control throughout lot. Monitors suspicious activity within parking facilities. Assists with special events parking arrangements. Check staff badges when entering facility.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    ****• Surveillance of entry gate to ensure only invited personnel has access to the premises.

    • Directing arrival of shipments and packages. Collecting and safely storing deliveries until facility opens, then distributing items properly.
    • Collect payments honorably on show dates from guests.
    • Patrols parking lot and reports the existence of hazardous conditions.
    • Arranges towing services for vehicles as necessary.
    • Assists in traffic and crowd control activities before and after show.
    • Provides information and other general assistance to visitors.
    • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    __• Must be able to be alert and attentive for duration of shift.

    • Ability to stand for 8 hours straight.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to observe, assess, and record hazardous conditions in parking areas.
    • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects, for example, parking cones, barriers, etc.
    • Knowledge of public events safety and crowd control principles, procedures, regulations, and standards.
    • Ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues.
    • Keen awareness of self and surroundings to prevent accidents.
    • Flexibility to implement changes to job tasks as needed and instructed.
    • Possession of a valid Nevada driver's license is a requirement for this job.

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort**_

    ****• Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

    • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds. In addition, standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
    • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating equipment and working in parking lot with moving vehicles.
