    ESC is looking to add a full time HR Generalist to our customer service focused team. The HR Generalist will work out of ESC’s main office in Amherst, NY for a portion of the week and will additionally be on-site at a manufacturing client in the Southtowns. The HR Generalist will work as an external partner in conjunction with ESC’s HR Director and HR Business Partners, as well as the assigned leader at the client organization.

    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Partners with ESC HR Director and HR Business Partners to deliver HR services.
    • Compiles payroll data and transmits to ESC.
    • Handles benefit administration in conjunction with ESC’s Benefits team.
    • Inputs, maintains, and revises employee maintenance information as needed.
    • Maintains employment files to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Coordinate Talent Pipeline Management to meet current and anticipated staffing needs.
    • Handles offer letters and all pre-employment activities.
    • Onboards new hires, builds and fosters strong relationships with employees.
    • Resource for employees with questions regarding payroll, benefits, and HR.
    • Ensure that all policies are up to date and that any needed policies are developed and implemented.
    • Conducts exit interviews for employees who voluntarily resign.
    • Handles unemployment process.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field including courses in human resources management.
    • A minimum of 1-3 years of similar experience.
    • Knowledge of standard HR concepts, practices and compliance.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
    • Highly developed organizational and follow-up skills.
