    The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources application, legislation, best practices, employee relations, as well as providing HRIS support especially for Onboarding and Employee Access to the company’s Employee Self-Service site. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the beginning-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, you must be competent using HRIS software and other standard professional office programs.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
    • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
    • Support the recruitment/hiring process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
    • Assist supervisors in performance management procedures including counseling/performance improvement plans, legal obligations, best practices, FMLA/ADA, etc.
    • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
    • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
    • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
    • Setup and Maintain Electronic Onboarding System for New Hires.
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Proficient with payroll/HRIS software.
    • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
    • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
    • Excellent record-keeping skills.
    • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
    • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.

    Education and Experience:

    • 5 or more years’ experience in Human Resources required
    • Bachelor’s degree Preferred
    • SHRM or HRCI Accreditation Preferred
