This position will require travel between our Albany and Salem office with mileage reimbursement when traveling between offices.

    BASIC FUNCTION: The primary duties of a Recruiter is to work with our clients and others to identify, screen, interview, present, hire and help manage qualified candidates, for temporary, temp-to-hire, contract and direct hire positions.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • RECRUITMENT: Develop and execute recruitment strategies that are primarily proactive but include traditional methods
    • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Communicate professionally and effectively with customers - this includes external customers, our candidates/employees as well as our team/staff as internal customers.
    • SALES: Support the sales team by identifying potential leads and being aware of local trends
    • PLACEMENTS: Evaluate and interview candidates to ensure quality placements, not solely quantity -reduce turnover based on thorough vetting of candidates for specific customer needs
    • DOCUMENTATION: Attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to understand and complete complex hiring documentation
    • TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/SUPERVISION: Show an interest and understanding of each temporary employee. Manage temporary employees while on assignment. Assess and investigate temporary employee related problems, and administer performance counseling, coaching, and disciplinary measures when necessary. Continually evaluate temporary employee performance on assignment. Acknowledge and document positive and negative issues appropriately and quickly. Handle their questions, problems and complaints quickly and fairly.
    • RISK MANAGEMENT: Help control workers compensation costs through assignment of qualified candidates for the job. Participate in job-site evaluations for safety and to understand requirements.
    • COMPETITION: Become knowledgeable of your competition. Know their strengths and weaknesses. Keep informed of pay and bill rates of competition to assure Employers Overload is competitive. When interviewing applicants, find out what they liked or disliked about other temporary services they have previously represented. Continually communicate thoughts and ideas to company Manager.
    • OTHER TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED.

    SKILLS / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

    • Experience in HR or staffing involved in light industrial and clerical placements. Fast paced and aggressive environment
    • Proven experience and success in an outgoing and friendly customer service role. Aggressive and confident to help build the business and make decisions
    • A person with proven experience and references that support the fact that they share our core values and would be a good fit with the organization culture as we move forward
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize, stay focused, goal oriented and driven
