    Title HR Generalist (Santa Clara) Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt Category Administrative Description POSITION SUMMARY Human Resources (HR) Generalists collaborate with department staff to provide HR services to the organization within their designated region. The successful candidate for this position will be a versatile HR rock star, able to work creatively and independently in order to get the job done, yet capable and interested in collaborating with a distributed team across California to contribute toward the greater goals of the organization as a whole. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Administer recruiting cycle including: posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment, new hire paperwork, on-boarding, etc. Effectively fill open positions in a timely manner. Administer and process: separations, benefits, workers' compensation, leave of absence requests, return-to-work program, etc. Ensure departmental compliance with all policies, procedures and standards in accordance with federal and state regulations. Assist in development and implementation of departmental goals and personnel policies. Maintain accuracy of all systems including HRIS and benefits administration tracking. Respond to all requests, questions and issues in a timely manner. Create and distribute various reports. Assist in the investigation and resolution of personnel issues. Effectively relay issues and concerns to the Director of People Operations. Remember to have fun. Company Standards Comply with all Options For All policies and procedures. Attend all required meetings and in-services. Complete all required training. Other duties, as assigned. Position Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors degree. Professional HR Certificate and/or certification (preferred) . Experience A minimum of three years of general, hands-on HR experience. Intermediate knowledge of HR laws and regulations at the federal and state levels. Experience with HRIS reporting. Experience working with highly confidential and/or sensitive materials. Experience with non-profit sector (preferred). Required Skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Proficient computer and technology skills including MS Office, Google Suite, HRIS systems. Professional writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills. Demonstrated ability in the area of prioritization and strategic thinking. Strong work ethic, hands-on approach, with an ability to work very effectively as part of an administrative team and within all levels of the company. A process and analytically focused mindset, with the highest attention to detail to proactively anticipate and resolve/coordinate issues. A passionate self-starting mindset, able to work autonomously, but also enjoys and is effective collaborating with peers. Other Requirements Access to vehicle with valid drivers license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record. Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided. Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc. Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
