Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney to join our employment law plaintiff firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, excellent advocacy skills, and a passion for representing clients in legal matters relating to workplace rights and discrimination.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent clients in employment-related disputes, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and whistleblower cases.
* Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
* Manage a caseload from inception to resolution, ensuring timely progression and compliance with legal deadlines.
* Develop case strategies in collaboration with clients, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
* Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving for favorable outcomes while maintaining clear communication about potential risks and benefits.
* Prepare clients for mediation and settlement conferences, providing guidance on expectations and processes.
* Prepare for trial by drafting trial briefs, jury instructions, and exhibits.
* Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting compelling arguments and witness testimonies.
* Conduct initial consultations with potential clients, assessing their cases and providing legal advice on possible courses of action.
* Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case status and addressing any concerns.
* Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of employment rights and workplace issues.
* Stay updated on changes in employment law and contribute to the firm’s knowledge base.
