    Location

    This is an on-site role based in the Augusta, GA area, offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, clients, and litigation support staff in a professional law firm setting.

    Note

    Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Georgia and have 2+ years of employment litigation experience. Wage and hour, workplace disputes, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, restrictive covenant, or employer-side litigation experience is preferred.

    Job Description

    • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including workplace disputes, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, and related claims.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, position statements, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
    • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies in partnership with supervising attorneys and clients.
    • Manage discovery, document review, case deadlines, and case preparation from early stages through resolution.
    • Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members in a professional and responsive manner.
    • Support a broader litigation practice as needed, including general civil litigation and business-related disputes.
    • Maintain strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through across an active caseload.

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
    • Active Georgia Bar license in good standing required.
    • 2+ years of employment litigation experience required.
    • Experience with wage and hour disputes, workplace investigations, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, restrictive covenants, or employer-side litigation preferred.
    • Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
    • Experience handling discovery, motions, pleadings, and litigation deadlines.
    • Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and staff.
    • Professional, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters in a busy law firm environment.
