    Job Description

    Incumbent serves as Employment Services Coordinator for the Hopewell Center, responsible for supervising services for community job placement, supported employment, and follow along employment.

    DUTIES :

    • Supervises and directs the activities of employment services personnel, including interviewing, making hiring decisions, providing training, making work assignments, evaluating job performance, and providing corrective instruction.
    • Coordinates training of employment staff, including training requirements specified by accreditation and funding entities. Additional training to include maximizing natural supports, employee/employer relations, Federal and/or State benefit programs as well as ADA, EOE, hour regulations, employer tax credits.
    • Conducts wage & Benefit Information Network (BIN) assessments of Social Security work incentives and other state and federal benefits planning for Vocational Rehabilitation Services customers. Maintains certification as a BIN Liaison.
    • Maintain and manage a small case load per the discretion of the Day Services Director
    • Schedules and chairs a variety of consumer meetings within a prescribed time frame for assigned caseload. May attend consumer meetings as needed to support staff.
    • Consult and assists employment specialists in developing appropriate assessment and/or potential employment sites.
    • Monitors and assures completion of required documentation for hours/services provided to facilitate billing procedures in the VR billing portal; submits to accounting on a monthly basis.
    • Oversees the timely completion and submission of quarterly reports into the DDRS Case Management Portal and reviews consumer files and documentation to ensure follow-along supports and services are provided as needed, in accordance with individual plans, and that all documentation adheres to standards.
    • Works closely with Vocational Rehabilitation supervisors and counselors, residential providers, families, and case managers to assure appropriate and satisfactory services are provided.
    • Responsible for developing, tracking, and semi-annual reporting of Program Evaluation.
    • Ensures compliance with CARF, BDS, and VRS standards, as appropriate in coordination with the Day Services Director
    • Develops and updates program curriculums on at least an annual basis in coordination with the Day Services Director
    • Monitors budget and monthly income and expenses for each funding source in collaboration with the Day Services Director.
    • Utilizes company software systems and hardware for documentation in all aspects including but not limited to client documentation, staff documentation, and billing usage. Makes requests for corrections/updates to the system as needed and appropriate.
    • Participate in trade association division meetings to maintain knowledge of current environment, activities, funding issues, as well as to develop networking resources.
    • Operates a motor vehicle to evaluate staff performance at work sites, transport consumers to a variety of locations, and attend various meetings.
    • Performs related duties as assigned, assuring the best interest of both the agency and the consumers' welfare.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Social Work, or related field or equivalent experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
    • Must obtain CPR and basic first aid certification.
    • Ability to supervise and direct the activities of assigned personnel, including interviewing, making hiring recommendations, training, evaluating, making work assignments, and providing corrective instruction.
    • Knowledge of all rules and regulations relating to employment, training, personnel management, including ADA, EOE and Wage and Hour regulations.
    • Basic knowledge of planning and budgeting process.
    • Ability to holistically assess consumer needs, establish and facilitate a plan of service to meet those needs.
    • Ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing) with, and relate to, persons with disabilities, employers, representatives of other agencies and the public.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and demonstrated safe driving record.
