    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    Step into a customer service position with the Harris County Toll Road Authority (“HCTRA”), one of the largest toll roads in the United States. You will be center stage interacting with customers, taking inbound calls to assist them with their EZ tag accounts and process outstanding tolls.

    In this role, your focus is providing an exceptional customer service experience at a HCTRA call center location. You will access customer records and demonstrate your excellent communication skills by telephone while utilizing computer skills to process payments.

    YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

    · Consistently display a courteous, professional, friendly attitude and willingness to assist customers

    · Continually maintain working knowledge of company policies and processes

    · Leverage operational systems to processes payments

    · Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment

    TRAINING LOCATION: 2901 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N Houston, Texas 77043

    LOCATION WHERE WORK WILL BE PERFORMED: 4900 Fournace Place, Bellaire, TX 77401

    START DATE: July 18th

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must type at least 30 wpm.
    • Must have call center or collections experience

    WE PREFER YOU:

    • 1-3 years of customer service experience
    • Speak more than 1 language - Spanish preferred

     

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL NEED:

    • Ability to listen first, speak clearly and correctly.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good analytical, organizational and time management skills
    • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software; Microsoft Office including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Ability to handle customer interactions in a quick but tactful, courteous, and efficient manner.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Will work in a call center environment. Travel to and from different worksites may be required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The position requires sitting in an office environment for long periods of time, occasional standing, and light lifting, three or four reams of paper or books (up to 20 pounds or weight equivalent) may be required.

    POSITION TYPE AND TYPICAL HOURS OF WORK

    • Training Schedule: Monday- Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
    • After training: Schedules include a five-day workweek for employees, with everyone being off on Sundays. Therefore, being open six (6) days a week, those shifts must be covered. Some schedules will consist of Sundays off and one other day during the week off.
