We have been providing Supported Employment services to consumers with disabilities in throughout New Jersey since 1996. We are currently looking to add to our dynamic team in the Southern & Central Region any potential candidates will live in and be willing to travel within the region utilizing their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement)

The Employment Training Specialist position will work in the community with potential employers and adults with disabilities to match them up with desired employment opportunities. Networking with and providing Disability Awareness Trainings to local businesses will lead to developing new job opportunities for all.

Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage a caseload of clients in order to maximize employment outcomes and long-term success for the client and employers.
Give each client employment supports that match their goals and abilities.
Willingness to travel throughout South Jersey and/or Monmouth and Ocean Counties to provide services and support to clients.
Assist the clients with creating a resume, applying for jobs, practicing for interviews.
Provide counseling regarding social norms on the job, appropriately handling workplace conflict, and taking constructive criticism.
Network and outreach to potential employers to assess their labor needs and develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Identify employers and assist as needed, with conducting disability awareness training and technical assistance workshops for employers on disability awareness and workforce diversity.
Effectively communicate with DVRS counselors, clients, and potential employers in order to provide quality services.
Maintain accurate and detailed records in compliance with accreditation and referral sources.
Model professional workplace behavior.
Participate in team meetings as needed.
Participate in continuing education credits in order to be current with best practices.
Provide off site job coaching and follow-along support.
Required abilities:
Experience with working with individuals with disabilities
Good computer skills

Ability to establish positive, collaborative relationships with clients, employers, referral sources
Willingness to travel throughout South Jersey and/or Monmouth and Ocean Co.

Education/Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and two years experience in a related field.
Valid drivers license in good standing
