Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Human Resources Generalist to help grow, mentor, and support the 300+ employees at our Tracy, CA production facility. Support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and provide advice, assistance, counseling, and follow-up on Company policies and procedures. Lead employee engagement teams and activities. Support employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Assist with coordinating compliance and regulatory training for all employees. Coordinate and conduct benefit orientation and other benefits training, including the annual benefits open enrollment process for non-bargaining unit employees. Facilitate, monitor, and maintain plant leave of absence processes. Coordinate recruiting efforts with business partners to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained within the plant, including development of employment advertisements and/or working with third-party staffing agencies as needed. Coordinate and facilitate the orientation and on-boarding process for new employees. Oversee and maintain HRIS and be a site subject matter expert on processes related to SAP, Kronos Timekeeping, Success Factors recruiting system, and other human resources technology. Cross-train with the HR & Labor Relations Generalist and assist as needed. Be humble, inquisitive, patient, collaborative, innovative, results-oriented, and resilient. You Have At Least (Required Qualifications): A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or other similar disciplines. 1 to 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources. Familiar with Human Resources fundamentals and best practices, and the application of them in the workplace. General knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices. Working knowledge of benefits and compensation programs. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs. Demonstrated interpersonal and coaching skills. Negotiating and problem resolution skills. Willingness to support a 24-hour, 7-day food manufacturing facility. We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification. Human Resources professional experience in a food manufacturing facility. Experience working in a union environment.
