    TRAINING 3 DAYS ON SITE IN SOUTH SAN JOSE OFFICE. FULLY REMOTE ONCE TRAINED

    JOB SUMMARY:

    An employee in this role is primarily responsible for assisting with day-to-day general accounting duties as well as the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have experience processing accounts payable, booking accrued expenses, reconciling account balances and maintaining support schedules for various GL accounts.

    An employee in this role will be required to enter transactional data and prepare reports in both Welligent (E.H.R. System) and MIP Abila (Accounting System), two separate applications that are not integrated.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accounts payable
    • Maintaining vendor files
    • Accrued expenses
    • Assist with billing and account maintenance
    • Posting daily customer payments
    • Maintaining tuition revenue schedules
    • Monthly credit card statement processing (sending statements to staff, compiling receipts, coding, posting JV into Abila)
    • Printing, mailing/e-mailing client, student and District invoices
    • After month end, work to resolve processing errors, missing information, etc.

    ACCOUNTABILITY: The employee in this position must be able to assure that all data processing related duties are timely, accurately entered and complete to assure accurate client billing and month end reporting. This role requires the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    QUALIFICATIONS/GUIDELINES: High school education or equivalent required. Minimum of two years prior experience in billing and follow up, cash application, data entry, and system processing preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY/SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
    • Strong attention to detail and organized
    • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple activities

    · Maintain excellent communication and strong working relationships with families, clinicians, and care managers; respond to each constituent in a timely manner

    • Be cross-trained and proficient in other department functions that are specified
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
    • Experience using an E.H.R System (desired)
    • Experience with MIP Abila/Sage (desired)
