Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern to join our team and work directly with clients at Empower to Change (formerly Clarke Counseling and Psychological Services LLC). The ideal candidate will be a vibrant, motivated professional who has a strong interest in mental health and helping others. The intern will be responsible for providing individualized care, assessments, crisis services, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: • Provide therapy services to clients under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional • Develop and implement treatment plans based on established therapeutic principles and evidence-based practice • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, physicians, counselors, and psychologists • Conduct initial interviews with clients for diagnostic clarification • Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on developments in mental health care Qualifications: • US Work Authorization • Mental Health Field Experience • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatry, or a related field • Experience with evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy etc • A commitment to working with underserved populations and commitment to social justice Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000
