    Job Description

    We are currently searching for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to take on responsibility for several functional areas of human resources and provide human resources support services as is consistent with department goals, objectives, systems, good HR practices, and government regulations. The HR Generalist is based out of our Corporate Office conveniently located in Englewood, CO

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

     

    Perform full cycle recruiting activities for hourly, staff, and exempt level positions. This includes posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and administering skills testing. Respond to candidates’ inquiries about the job, organization, and the interview process. Compile candidate’s profiles, evaluate their qualifications, and recommend candidates for further consideration. Set-up interviews for the hiring team, obtain feedback, and extend offers. Coordinate pre-employment drug testing, background checks, and Motor Vehicle Reports. Conduct reference checks. Update candidate progress on the Applicant Tracking System.

    Work with Office Manager to coordinate the issuing of ID badges, uniforms, credit cards, workstation set-ups, and other new hire deliverables. Schedule new employee’s start date and time and launch onboarding packages and related items. Ensure new employees’ onboarding tasks are completed prior to hire date. Transition new employees from onboarding to HR & Payroll and Timekeeping.

    Perform the day-to-day administration of various group insurance and 401K benefits plans. Enter new employees into the benefits enrollment database system. Launch benefits packets and send enrollment reminders. Enter benefits deductions into the HR database system. Process qualifying events and employee separations. Assist with annual open enrollment process. Interface with benefits providers and insurance broker as needed.

    Respond to inquiries, complaints, and concerns from employees and management. Interpret and communicate policies and/or regulatory requirements. Conduct investigations and make recommendations. Process status changes and employee separations. Respond to requests for employment verifications, coordination of benefits, unemployment claims, etc. Administer and track FMLA, leave of absences, and other forms of time off. Complete benefits, salary, and other related surveys. Set-up, maintain, and audit personal files and records. Follow-up on discrepancies, missing information, expired documents, etc. Maintain various databases. Prepare reports. Assist with benefits and compliance audits. Update bulletin boards. Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating employee activities. Fill in for others in the same department and provided back-up support to other departments as needed. Work on special projects and perform other related duties as assigned. Notify manager of any delays, issues, concerns, or problems in a timely manner.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

Starting pay is $55,000 $65,000 per year in this salaried exempt. Full-time employees enjoy a great choice of benefits. The position qualifications are as follows:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification or MBA is preferred.
    • At least three or more years of broad Human Resources experience across multiple functional areas is required. Multi-state experience is a plus.
    • Must be well organized, attentive to details, and understand legal requirements.
    • Solid written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office and HR database programs is required.
    • Discretion is required as is ability to maintain confidentiality of HR, applicants, employees, and payroll information.
