Encamp is building the premier platform to unify and manage every step of Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) compliance to revolutionize the way companies comply with environmental regulations. We are passionate about the environment and driven to simplify the process of compliance for EHS professionals nationwide. We are an expanding team of remote happy Encampers, with roots in Indianapolis, but quickly expanding throughout the US.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR…

The Encamp team is looking for a junior - mid level web developer and graphic designer to maintain and continually improve our company website, along with assisting on other digital assets and creative design projects. This role will report to Encamp's Senior Brand Designer and work closely with the Marketing team.

AS A WEB DEVELOPER & GRAPHIC DESIGNER FOR ENCAMP ...

You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, and development of the Encamp website. In addition, you will also help design and create digital and print marketing materials for social media, campaigns, and other platforms. Candidates should be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other graphic design applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

WEB DEVELOPMENT

• Work with Sr. Brand Designer and Marketing team on website enhancements to improving user experience
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create and maintain website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services, databases, and marketing tools (i.e., HubSpot)
• Maintain and optimize SEO health with best practices and thoughtful management
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site with special regard for UX, mobile, and site speed
• Assist with updating our website's content/resource center as needed

GRAPHIC DESIGN

• Take direction from Sr. Brand Designer to ensure brand uniformity for all digital and print material
• Create creative assets for social media and advertising purposes (social posts, display ads) 
• Assist in landing page creation for marketing campaigns
• Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects
• Collaborate with team members to launch designs

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years experience in Graphic, Web/Mobile, and UI/UX Design
• Experience working with WordPress 
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with PHP and Javascript
• An eye for design aesthetics, brand consistency, or experience using design programs such as Creative Cloud, Invision, Canva and Sketch
• Working knowledge of SEO best practices with a drive to optimize and increase understanding  
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
• A portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual and executional skills in integrated campaigns

• The desire to dive into new technologies (Ceros, Vidyard) and projects to enhance portfolio and build Encamp’s digital presence
• A strong ability to effectively prioritize and multitask on a daily basis
