    Giant International Software Station Inc. is a Philippine company that supports Encompass Technologies, a cloud-based distribution-focused ERP system headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, with clients all over the world.     Giant is located in the Peza Baguio Eco-Zone in Baguio City, Benguet. More information about Giant can be found at encompass8.com/giant. What started in 2017 as a small entity with 10 “pioneers” who were going to work on specific projects for Encompass, has grown to a team of 120 people who largely do customer support, professional services, and administration. The culture became more like a tech start-up than an outsourced support organization. That should tell you something about the level of talent we have on our team. It should also tell you something about the confidence we have in the talent pool available in Baguio and the value we place on being right where we are.

    We’ve had a remote CEO, but we’ve grown to the point that we need an onsite CEO to lead the team - one who will know how to navigate the business world in the Philippines - and in related organizations in the US and China. That means understanding the legal, financial, and employment aspects of running a growing business. The incumbent will have three direct reports - a COO, a Financial professional, and an HR professional. In addition to representing Giant with Encompass and related companies in China, the individual selected for this role will also represent Giant in the financial community with signature authority with our bank.

    Requirements

    • Thorough knowledge of business operations typically represented by at least 10 years of experience leading a company in the Philippines;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Software, or a related field;
    • Strong leadership skills evidenced by a record of sales and growth, a contagious optimism about the future, and a solution-orientation that gets the job done;
    • An in-depth knowledge of legal and risk management practices;
    • Exceptional organizational and communication skills;
    • A love of initiative, innovation, growth, and fast-pace;
    • An innate sense of what it takes to run a successful, fast growing business in the Philippines;
    • Integrity and transparency demonstrated by a history of strong working relationships and references; and
    • The ability to build strong working relationships with executives of partner organizations in other countries.

    Desired Qualification - Visa status that allows travel between the Philippines, China, and the U.S.

    Bilingual fluency in Mandarin is a plus, but not a requirement.

    THIS WON’T BE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT FOR THOSE WHO:

    • Have a default setting of caution, rather than a curiosity about what the future could hold;
    • Are not wired for speed and growth;
    • Don’t know how to be appropriately assertive while being an extremely collaborative part of a leadership team; or
    • Desire to create any kind of rigid environment that will be non-responsive to their one client.
