    Job Description

    The Encore Boston Harbor Coordinator Training & Development is responsible for supporting and managing the administration of the Learning & Development function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with new-hire orientation, planning learning events and trainings, scheduling and maintaining training venues, co-facilitating small-scale training, and assisting with the daily maintenance and administration of the company’s Learning Management System.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures the training function is a model example of Encore Boston Harbor’s values and promises, delivering exceptional levels of internal service to our Team Members.
    • Manages the administration, enrollment, attendance, and reporting of both live and online programs, within the company’s Learning Management System.
    • Arranges off-property training through local institutions, including the delivery of ESL and citizenship classes when required.
    • Co-plans learning events such as graduation ceremonies, celebratory events and visits from local educational institutions.
    • Administers and manages a property-wide mentorship program in support of the company’s leadership development strategy.
    • Liaises with local educational partners to manage the property’s tuition reimbursement program.
    • Processes expense reports and manages departmental budgets.
    • Responds to requests from Division and Department Training Managers regarding the scheduling and maintenance of training space.
    • Designs and produces training materials and aids in support of program goals (i.e. case studies, simulations, games, exercises, etc.).
    • Co-facilitates new hire orientation, systems trainings and compliance sessions when required.
    • Creates and delivers e-Learning courses and online surveys for HR and other divisions.
    • Collaborates with Wynn Resorts training partners across our property portfolio to share success stories, best practices and resources whenever possible.
    • Keeps informed of developments within the department and property, and makes recommendations designed to enhance success.
    • Engages in self-directed work, crafts and maintains timetables for projects, drives deadlines and resources, and works with a high degree of initiative, creativity and personal responsibility.
    • Promotes positive, fair, and ethical relations with all Team Members and partners, as an ambassador of the Encore brand.
    • Performs additional responsibilities as needed or requested in support of the department’s goals.
    • Supervises the Training Clerk in support of the department’s administrative functions.
    • Reports to the Director of Learning & Development.

    Age, Gaming and Certifications:

    21 years of age or above

    Will be required to obtain and maintain registration, or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

    Education and/or Experience:

    Must have a passion for learning and enjoy helping others to achieve their goals.

    Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 2 years of administrative or operational experience required.

    Training administration and/or hospitality experience preferred.

    Experience working with e-Learning design software (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems preferred.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required, to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

    Language Skills:

    Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Exceptional level of written English required, with extensive experience of writing promotional materials or other communications copy. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.

    Mathematical and Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and create reports upon request.

    The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on property floor or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.

    Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team Members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
