Job Description

POSITION: FULL-TIME OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 9 AM TO 5 PM.
JOB PURPOSE: THE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE WILL ACT IN FURTHERANCE OF END HOMELESSNESS CALIFORNIA’S (DBA THE SHOWER OF HOPE) GOAL OF PERFORMING ADMINISTRATIVE & MANAGEMENT SUPPORT TASKS RELATED TO END HOMELESSNESS CALIFORNIA’S (DBA THE SHOWER OF HOPE) MISSION.
JOB LOCATIONS: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT BY WORKING ON-SITE WITH PROGRAM STAFF AND EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT. OCCASIONALLY, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR WILL BE ASKED TO RUN ERRANDS THAT REQUIRE DRIVING TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE.
EXEMPT STATUS: THE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR POSITION IS NON-EXEMPT.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE IN ADMINISTRATION, HUMAN RESOURCES, DATA ANALYSIS, AND GOOGLE/MICROSOFT BASIC SOFTWARE (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT), IS PREFERRED.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION CURRENT INCLUDE:
HELP UPPER MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM WITH DAILY AND WEEKLY ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS FOR ALL OPERATIONS THAT ARE PART OF END HOMELESSNESS CALIFORNIA (THE SHOWER OF HOPE, SAFE PARKING, AND HOPE HOUSING).
COORDINATE OFFICE ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS TO SECURE EFFICIENCY AND COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES
MANAGE AGENDAS/TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS/APPOINTMENTS ETC., FOR THE UPPER MANAGEMENT
MANAGE PHONE CALLS AND CORRESPONDENCE (E-MAIL, LETTERS, PACKAGES, ETC.)
CREATE AND UPDATE RECORDS AND DATABASES WITH PERSONNEL, FINANCIAL, AND OTHER DATA
TRACK STOCKS OF OFFICE SUPPLIES AND PLACE ORDERS WHEN NECESSARY
SUBMIT TIMELY REPORTS AND PREPARE PRESENTATIONS/PROPOSALS AS ASSIGNED
ASSIST COLLEAGUES WHENEVER NECESSARY

Company Description
The Shower of Hope program offers free showers, hygiene, food, clothing, haircuts, books, and the opportunity to connect with wrap-around services such as case management and mental health through Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (“LAHSA”) and Los Angeles County. During the Covid-19 pandemic, services for this program were expanded to serve over 26 locations on a weekly basis and many sites also became a vaccination center for the unhoused. Program service revenues represent amounts billed to third-party nonprofit organizations to provide shower services as part of these nonprofits' programs. The Shower of Hope was able to provide over 15,000 showers in 2019 and over 30,000 showers in 2020.
