    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Technician to join our IT team. *This role will be required to be onsite in the Spokane, Washington area and have their own reliable transportation .

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and organized management of PC refresh projects, ensuring that our client’s organization computer systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our end users.
    Key Responsibilities:
    1. PC Refresh Management:
    o Plan, coordinate, and execute PC refresh projects across the client’s organization.
    o Collaborate with IT leadership to establish project timelines and budget requirements.
    o Conduct thorough inventory assessments to identify PCs eligible for replacement.
    2. Hardware Procurement:
    o Work with vendors and procurement teams to order and receive new hardware, ensuring it meets organization standards and budget constraints.
    o Oversee the disposal or repurposing of retired hardware in an environmentally responsible manner.
    3. Deployment and Configuration:
    o Unbox, configure, and install new PCs and associated peripherals.
    o Install and update operating systems, software applications, and necessary drivers.
    o Ensure seamless data migration from old to new PCs, preserving user data and settings.
    4. Troubleshooting and Support:
    o Provide technical support to end users during the PC refresh process, addressing any hardware or software issues promptly.
    o Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve complex technical problems.
    5. Documentation and Reporting:
    o Maintain detailed records of all PC refresh activities, including hardware and software configurations.
    o Generate regular reports on project progress, budget tracking, and post-refresh evaluations.
    6. User Training:
    o Conduct training sessions or workshops to help end users become familiar with new systems and software.
    7. Security and Compliance:
    o Ensure that all refreshed PCs comply with company security policies, including antivirus and encryption requirements.
    o Implement security updates and patches as needed.
    8. Team Collaboration:
    o Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient PC refresh process.
    o Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to departmental initiatives.
    Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience in desktop support and PC refresh projects.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
    • Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
    • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
    Working Conditions:
    • This position typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional on-site visits to various locations within the organization.
    • Availability for after-hours or weekend work may be necessary to minimize disruptions during PC refresh projects.
    • Physical demands include lifting and moving computer equipment.
