    To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

    • Use data analysis methods; develop and maintain annual strategic improvement plans targeted at driving safety performance and achieving leading indicator goals established by AGG Leadership.
    • Responsible for defining and driving clear responsibilities for environmental, health and safety performance requirements.
    • Support and maintain plant wide standards for 5 s.
    • Systematically develop and implement strategic actions to reduce work related injuries and illnesses (e.g. ergonomic process, layered process auditing, behavior based safety process)

    This salary role is a part of our EHS team and reports to the EHS Manager.

    Required experience :

    • Bachelors Degree in safety related field or environmental science.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role within the plant environment.
    • General knowledge in several environmental, health and safety processes and practices (OSHA) and state requirements, ergonomics, ISO 14001, etc. Solid background in ergonomics.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Strong, communication, negotiation, planning and analytical skills.
    • Individual should be highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performance.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Purchasing or equivalent experience.
    • 3 to 5 years as a purchasing professional in a related industry or 4+ years related experience in a manufacturing industry.
    • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations a plus.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED:

    An initial period of extensive travel to our manufacturing sites in Florida and California will be expected to allow the position to thoroughly learn the business. After this initial period, travel will decrease to a moderate schedule of approximately (20%)

    SHORT TERM POSITION OBJECTIVES:

    Develop supply chain initiatives predominantly focused on securing the supply of direct materials while consolidating the supply base.

    LONG TERM POSITION OBJECTIVES:

    To maintain the most professional procurement function in the industry working with world class practices and the best Global Supply Partners.  To consistently make a significant contribution to the company’s bottom line profitability.
