    DESCRIPTION

    This position inspects track for FRA213 (track standards) compliance. It protects track that is not in compliance by taking appropriate remedial action to protect trains and crews and promotes safety with crew by conducting job audits and safety meetings.

     

    Uses highly developed specialized skills to complete a wide range of tasks and procedures. Generates innovative solutions to complex processes or problems. Proposes improvements to processes. Delivers work, which directly impacts quality of team output to agreed timescales, service levels or similar metric.

     

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Inspects tracks after repairs are made.
    • Responds to trouble calls and conducts special visual inspections following adverse weather alerts.
    • Available 24 X 7 X 365.
    • Works outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum five (5) years of relevant operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Specialist knowledge of one or more disciplines of railroad operations
    • FRA213 (track standards) qualified

     

     WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support mission-critical railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN from a National League for Nursing (NLN)-accredited school - bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred.
    • Certification by the applicable professional organization (NP's must be certified in Family Practice or Adult to qualify)
    • Current state license. Must comply will all state requirements and regulations. (If out-of-state, must have current license in one of the 50 states and be willing to obtain permanent state specific license).
    • Possess Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification prior to performing work.
    • Prescriptive authority In accordance with state rules and regulations.
    • Ability to set realistic, measureable education goals for patients, taking into consideration patient/family needs, level of understanding, and available local resources.
    • Ability to develop and provide individualized and group counseling, guidance, and health instruction with a focus on disease prevention and health maintenance.
    • Ability to teach patients and/or families proper home health care activities, such as giving injections, taking blood pressures, changing wound dressings, etc.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and basic computer maneuverability.
