About Us: Energy GPS is an energy fundamentals company that provides consulting, analytics, and advice to wholesale natural gas and electricity markets, transmissions developers, Fortune 500 companies, hedge funds, and banks. For us to solve complex problems quickly and accurately, we need robust systems and a team of passionate developers to build these systems. We are looking for an individual to be part of our growing team to help develop solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities: * Develop product features and resolve issues with programming languages and technologies such as Microsoft .NET / C#, SQL, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Microsoft MVC, Python, and Java * Prepare, cleanse, and upload raw data from various sources into data warehouse to help analysts provide business insight and visualizations to clients * Monitor and develop web scrapes and ensure reliability by utilizing our infrastructure tools and reports * Develop and enhance internal tools to automate infrastructure, code configurations, and repetitive tasks * Assist in improving external website utilizing Microsoft MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, and other web frameworks and tools. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a computer science or related experience * 2+ years of experience in a computer programming or software engineering role * Deadline and detail-oriented * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills * Superior ability to handle multiple projects at one time and be very results oriented * Highly motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment * Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, oral and written communication skills, and teamwork This job requires some onsite presence working closely with our front-office team in Portland, OR.
