Job Description

This position will be responsible for monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshooting and repairing existing irrigation systems, observing pipe and valve placements, evaluating start-ups, and overall operation of the irrigation systems. Also, will be conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client’s irrigation systems.

Other Irrigation Technician responsibilities include:

·        Provides timely, highly quality and professional irrigation services

·        Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the repair of irrigation

·        Communicates professionally with Crew Leader and Account Manager to aid in identifying and resolving customer concerns

·        Keeps required records and makes reports of irrigation repairs

·        Other tasks and duties as assigned

SAFETY MANAGEMENT:

·        Responsible for creating a safe, efficient and productive workplace environment that affords each employee the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Garden Doctors and themselves

·        Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

·        Maintaining a safe work environment and performs all duties in a safe manner

·        Reports all safety violations to management

·        Effectively implements and manages any and all policy or procedural changes initiated by Garden Doctors

·        Drives trucks and pulls trailers safely per State law and Garden Doctors polices

·        Ensures that there is a spotter when backing up trucks and trailers

In this role, the successful candidate will be using their landscape experience and their people skills too.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM 1-YEAR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
• KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO USE LANDSCAPE RELATED TOOLS
• HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE WELL
• BE ABLE TO WORK HARD IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS (HEAT, COLD, WET, ETC.)
