Engauge Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Workforce Engagement Consultant to be onsite at our Detroit, MI client.

In this role, you will be responsible for being hands-on with new hires to train, coach, and assist in the hiring process. Working closely daily on the plant floor, you will also be communicating with the Plant Manager on a regular basis.

THE IDEAL FIT FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (assembly, machine operating, etc.)
• Experience in training and leadership qualities
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in Lean manufacturing, including Kaizen (preferred)
• HR experience or degree

REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid work history
• Strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented: attention to detail for all tasks with accuracy
• Ability to be flexible
• Exceptional work ethic, with strong values and principles – takes all opportunities to go above and beyond the basic expectations
• High school diploma desired
• A self-motivated individual who can work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to customer service

This is a 1st shift opportunity with the hours of 8 AM-5 AM, Monday-Friday. This candidate will also need to be flexible (may be required to come in earlier or stay later). The pay for this position is $15-$20/hr depending on experience.
