POSITION: MACHINIST APPRENTICE

EngineQuest has a unique opportunity for an Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will be observing, training, and developing skills that will get you started towards a great career.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn to manufacture/develop parts.
• Learn to operate and maintain milling machines.
• Learn to assembles products and parts.
• Become proficient in using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Serves as a backup for pulling and packing orders.
• Performs facilities and equipment maintenance, as directed.
• Enforces environmental and safety compliance.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• A basic knowledge of engine parts, tolerances, machining

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Good basic math skills

• Positively receive feedback

• Correctly and consistently lift up to 75 pounds and carry it up to 20 feet.

• Knowledge of and experience operating industrial machine shop machinery, including torches, mills, banding machines, cutters, shot blasters, grinders, press, and welding equipment preferred

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Pay Range: $16 - $20 / DOE
