    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

    The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for securing Delta Utilities’ cloud and SaaS environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role ensures secure configurations, enforces security baselines, and partners with cloud and application teams to embed security into day-to-day operations and platform design.

    ** ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

    • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Azure, M365, and OCI.
    • Configure and manage cloud-native security tools (e.g., Defender, security policies, logging).
    • Own and administer the Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platform (e.g., Wiz, Orca)
    • Define and enforce cloud security standards, baselines, and guardrails.
    • Partner with Cloud Engineering on secure architecture, IaC patterns, and platform hardening.
    • Monitor cloud security posture and coordinate remediation of misconfigurations.
    • Support identity, access, and data protection controls in cloud environments.
    • Assist with threat detection, investigations, and incident response related to cloud services.
    • Support compliance efforts and security assessments for cloud workloads.
    • Develop technical documentation and security guidance for cloud teams.

    ** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

    Minimum education required of the position

    • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of experience in addition to the standard experience listed below is required.

    ** Minimum experience required of the position**

    • 6+ years of IT or security experience with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.

    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

    • Strong experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
    • Familiarity with OCI security services and architecture.
    • Understanding of identity, networking, and data security in cloud platforms.
    • Strong familiarity with regulated or enterprise environments.
    • Strong analytical and collaboration skills.

    ** Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position**

    • Preferred:
      • Azure Security Engineer Associate
      • OCI Security or Architect Certification
      • CCSP
      • CISSP

    ** Physical Requirements**

    • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
    • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
    • Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
