  • Responsibilities

    Job Description:

    • Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs.
    • Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
    • Supports and participates in negotiations with customer.
    • Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
    • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.
    • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

    • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Understanding of project management, business operations and finance.
    • Is able to generate, create and understand financial reporting in excel.

    Additional Job Description Information :

    • This position is intended for the Advanced Manufacturing Dept. (E66) within the Specialty Engineering Team under E&D.
    • The applicant will be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks, but not limited to; forecasting, project management, budgeting, invoicing, charge reconciliation and creating workflows.
    • This position will regularly interact with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management to complete said duties and will work within the program control group.

    • Due to this being a new department, we are looking for a self-starter who enjoys documenting research and work in parallel to completing tasks. Also, someone that thrives in a fast pace learning environment and can work independently to drive tasks to ground.

    Minimum Education/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience.
    • Master’s Degree and 1 year of experience.
    • 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
    • 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
    • An Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
