Valley Industries is a leading provider of agricultural and industrial solutions and we are looking for our next Engineer to join our growing team.
The Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting products, systems, and processes to meet organizational, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other teams to improve product performance, production efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
This position applies technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement principles to support both new product development and ongoing production needs.
- Design, develop, test, and improve products, components, and systems for new and existing product lines
- Collaborate with international partners and suppliers on product design, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to guide product development
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of material, and work instructions
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions
- Partner with production, quality, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards
- Participate in product testing, validation, and performance evaluations; analyze results and recommend improvements
- Evaluate materials, components, and suppliers to meet performance and cost objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
In order to be successful in this role the candidate must have:
- Strong understanding of engineering principles related to manufacturing and product development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong electrical knowledge and experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Education and Experience needed for this role include
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field) required
- Manufacturing and/or agricultural engineering experience preferred
- Experience supporting production environments and/or new product development is a plus
