    Engineering Configuration Specialist

    Location:  Irvine, CA

     

    SUMMARY

     

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP/PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.

    In this critical role, you'll leverage your technical skills (Enovia) & IT/Software background by providing documentation and configuration control support in a product engineering environment.  Supporting the Fluid Systems Division (FSD) Product Support team (PST) you'll be a key liaison between Customer Service Organization (CSO), FSD Irvine and PST.  You'll be an essential point of contact for all program data and related change activities for business teams and act as a reference point/subject matter expert.  Excellent communication and collaboration/influencing skills are essential for this role.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure FSD’s repair stations has updated Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) and Test Data Record (TDR’s) available for repairs.
    • Support Airline and Internal CWI audits – work with Technical Publications group at CSO (typically CMM and TDR release process).
    • Support Commercial & Military programs which include submitting documents and drawings into each program portals requiring Customer portal access.
    • Ability to review and understand test data requirements in a CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) and to work with the repair station on updating these records as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors’ degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required.   
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.
    • Experience working with purchase order requirements related to submittal of documents as contractually required.
    • Full knowledge of Configuration Management Software (primarily ENOVIA)
    • Customer Work Instruction (CWI) process knowledge, such as process in-coming documents from customers thru engineering review cycle, receive documents from Contract Administrator, Engineer or by accessing the airlines portal, perform regular audits, load CWI into CSO Enovia and release notifications.
    • Knowledge of Engineering Directives (ED) process such as assigning new number revisions, load and release into CSO Enovia from Engineering, release notification and update TDR if needed.
    • U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for this position.
