    Overview

    An Assistant Teacher is one typically who assists the Lead Teacher and assists in different activities associated with teaching. Management of classroom and general supervision are generally key responsibilities.

    Suggested Duties and Responsibilities

    Assist the Lead Teacher in the planning and implementation of daily programs.

    Recommended Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence and poise

    Critical thinking and problem solving

    Proven leadership skills

    Presentation and speaking skills

    Passion working with children

    Energetic

    Requirements:

    Have experience and enjoy working with children ages 4-14

    Reliable transportation to travel throughout Dane County (assignments less than 20 miles from residence)

    Availability between 2:00 -5:00 pm about 2-3 days a week

    Have great organizational skills and be able to work independently

    Enjoy math and science concepts

    Experience presenting to a group, facilitation or training would be a plus

    Prior experience as an educator or pursuing a degree in the education or engineering field is also a plus

    Pass a background check

    Engineering For Kids is a STEM based program to provide hands-on, project based learning programs for children from PreK4 - 8th grade. We are passionate about our programs because we believe that early exposure to STEM education has a lasting impact on a child's future.

    Provide the most comprehensive Engineering Programs in WNY (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Marine, Robotics, Coding, etc)
