    Position Summary

    Pangea Geoscience LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Geologist to support a variety of geotechnical and geological projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in field investigations, data analysis, and technical reporting, and will work closely with engineers, scientists, and project managers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct geologic and geotechnical field investigations, including soil and rock logging, site reconnaissance, and mapping

    • Monitor and document drilling, test pits, and geotechnical exploration activities

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret geological and subsurface data

    • Prepare technical reports, logs, figures, and recommendations

    • Support geotechnical design and construction observation activities

    • Evaluate geologic hazards such as landslides, faulting, erosion, and seismic risk

    • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients

    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

    • 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering geology or geotechnical consulting (entry-level candidates may be considered)

    • Strong field skills and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions

    • Proficiency with geologic logging, mapping, and data interpretation

    • Experience with technical writing and report preparation

    • Familiarity with local geology and geotechnical practices is a plus

    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites

    Preferred Skills

    • Professional Geologist (PG) or Engineering Geologist (CEG) license, or ability to obtain

    • Experience with GIS, CAD, or geotechnical software

    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
