    Engineering Innovation, Inc. (EII) based in Lafayette, Indiana is a premier provider of postal automation. EII is a small dynamic company looking for highly motivated individuals to join its project/product management team. The project/product management team is responsible for coordinating efforts between the Engineering, Production, and Customer Support teams in order to facilitate the successful delivery of postal automation solutions to its customers.

    An Engineering Project/Product Manager will manage various projects within R&D at EII. This position will require the typical project management skills, as well as a technical background. This position will also require some product management skills. This position is not remote.     Position responsibilities include:

    Successfully develop and execute project plans by managing scope, schedule, deliverables, and resource allocation

    Lead a group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from concept identification through product execution in the development of new and innovative products

    Define roadmaps that guide team vision and further product development

    Serve as the internal and external advocate for the product portfolio

    Prioritize team activities and drive resolution of issues

    Report and manage issues and risks

    Effectively communicate status and issues to team members, management and other internal and external stake holders

    Facilitate focused, concise status meetings

    Travel to customer sites as required to help with the gathering of technical information, surveying of customer’s facility, or performing installation and training on equipment

    Successful candidates will possess the following:

    A Bachelor degree in an engineering or technology field or equivalent technical experience working on electrical/mechanical equipment is required.

    The ability to speak different “technical languages” - mechanical, electrical, software

    Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision

    Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills

    Strong communication and documentation skills

    Strong analytical skills and attention to details

    Strong negotiating skills

    Strong leadership with willingness to drive team and make tough decisions

    Able to do presentations and perform public speaking

    Ability to occasionally travel (less than 10%) as needed to customer sites and trade shows, national or international

    Familiarity with the following is a plus:

    Mailing and/or Shipping industry experience a strong plus

    Experienced with working in a fast moving and rapidly changing environment

    Experienced in working with developers, customers, and vendors

    Knowledge of software development methods, processes, platforms, and tools

    Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, etc.)

    Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.)
