    If your answer is YES, then you will love this unique Customer Support Technician role at Engineering Innovation, Inc. (EII). EII, a dynamic growth technology company, is a premier provider of postal and parcel automation and is located in Lafayette, IN.

    As an EII Customer Support Technician, you will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems. You will be a person our customers trust, and they will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

    This is a full-time position and is only open to U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents.

    A potential candidate must have the following skill sets:

    Be able to take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution

    Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues

    Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams

    Excellent electrical, computer, and/or mechanical aptitude

    Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills

    Good communication skills

    Experience with Microsoft Office

    Ability to stand on one’s feet for several hours

    Ability to travel to customer sites, national or international, up to 50% of the time

    Must have a valid driver’s license

    Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following skills:

    Customer service experience working on computer controlled, electrical/mechanical equipment

    Experience working with external customers

    Experience answering customer service calls

    Experience performing user training and demonstrations to customers

    Experience utilizing electronic measurement equipment (Digital Multi-Meters, etc.)

    Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams

    Experience with Windows Networking

    Experience with call center ticketing systems

    Experience working with databases

    Previous experience with pneumatic systems

    Previous experience working in the mailing industry or parcel industry

    Bachelor Degree, Associates Degree, Technical Military Experience, or candidates with technical work or hobby experience

    Bilingual abilities a plus
