    Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Fluid Handling & Accessories engineering team. The Engineering Manager will provide leadership and direction to a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, ensuring innovation, quality, and efficiency in all product development and sustaining engineering deliverables. The Fluid Handling & Accessories engineering team is responsible for the design and support of key product solutions comprising supply and dispense systems for paint, sealants, and adhesives.

    Essential Functions:

    • Lead the Fluid Handling & Accessories engineering team in the design, development, and testing of new SAE products, following the Company New Product Development (NPD) stage gate process.

    • Establish the right performance expectations, effectively communicate those expectations, and fairly assess performance relative to those expectations for the Fluid Handling & Accessories team.

    • Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to drive the identification of customer-focused product solutions by translating market trends, customer feedback, and competitive information into new product development projects delivering a clear value proposition and competitive advantage.

    • Project management for NPD projects, including project planning and estimation, project execution, stage gate reviews, design reviews, and documentation.

    • Manage resource allocation aligned with project priorities and timelines, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver improved engineering excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering personnel to enable practical, efficient, and cost-effective designs.

    • Recruit, mentor, develop, and engage talent, ensuring team capabilities and skill sets are aligned with the current and future portfolio needs while effectively leveraging global engineering skills and resources.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies in adhesives and sealant application.

    • Ensure compliance and quality through documentation management, engineering drawings, and change control, and support development or improvement of engineering processes and tools.

    • Utilize Lean/Six Sigma and project management disciplines to improve efficiency, consistency, and synergy throughout the global R&D team and other functions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics; advanced degree a plus

    • Eight plus years of product development and/or design experience in the areas of electro-mechanical devices, manufacturing, or application engineering

    • Proven technical capabilities in developing solutions to engineering problems, defining project life cycles, managing deliverables

    • Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering documentation platforms.

    • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Compensation
    $150,000 per year
