Our client is seeking an Operations Engineering leader ensures seamless engineering operations at our aseptic beverage manufacturing facility. This role drives collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while overseeing plant projects, expansions, and system performance in partnership with Maintenance, EH&S, Process, Controls, and Reliability Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, development, and implementation of engineering processes, systems, and resources to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Track and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Streamline operations by reducing downtime and boosting productivity through process and facility enhancements.
Manage budgets (CapEx, training, support/consulting).
Oversee engineering design, equipment specifications, and drawing controls.
Manage CMMS (Upkeep) to ensure communication, transparency, and record-keeping across departments.
Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, contracts, and equipment scope.
Allocate tasks, manage resources, and support training and cross-training.
Coordinate maintenance schedules and larger planned shutdowns with Production and Technical Integration.
Partner with EH&S on safety procedures and compliance (LOTO, startup/shutdown).
Oversee all engineering projects, ensuring proper scheduling and resource allocation.
Assess and implement cost-saving measures, new technologies, and system improvements.
Establish and enforce engineering policies, standards, and security measures.
Ensure compliance with SQF and food safety requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct workflow for the Engineering department.
Recruit, develop, and manage team members.
Delegate tasks based on skills, experience, and workload.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required.
MBA preferred.
Experience & Skills
10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, with 5–7 years managing capital projects, budgets, and timelines.
Strong knowledge of FDA, PMO, GMP, and food industry standards; aseptic beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
Skilled in Microsoft Project, Office Suite, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM, and MES systems.
Proficient in P&ID creation and interpretation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to shifting production needs and optimize processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
