    Job Description

    This role is in-office in our South Jordan, Utah location, five days per week.

    In this position you will work with the engineering team to develop new products and improve existing ones by participating in the design, build, debug and testing processes.

    Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

    • Build and test electro-mechanical prototypes from concept to production representative samples.
    • Assemble printed circuit boards by soldering surface mount and through hole components.
    • Must be competent in circuit troubleshooting and use of the associated tools (e.g. O-Scope, Digital Multi Meter, etc.)
    • Perform functional and reliability testing.
    • Analyze and report on test results.
    • Analyze customer returns to establish the root cause of failure and recommend solutions and follow up with Customer Service, Engineering and Manufacturing to implement product improvements.
    • Troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical devices and work with engineering to resolve product issues.

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented, cross-functional, and highly dynamic environment, meeting customer commitments and program deadlines.

    Qualifications

    • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years technical/engineering training or associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
    • Must be able to read electrical schematics.
    • Proficient at soldering surface mount components. 1. 0201 or larger discrete components 2. QFP , QFN experience is required, ( BGA experience is a plus )
    • Competent in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, function generators, power supplies, DMM, etc.)
    • Competent in electronic circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
    • Comfortable and capable in using general shop tools.
    • Capable of preparing bread board circuit prototypes.
    • Adept in the use of Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Competent in the use of Autodesk fusion 360 using G code for CNC milling.
    • Experience using Electronic CAD tool, Altium designer is preferred.
    • Ability to assemble and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
