We are seeking Engineering Technicians to support reliability, performance, and verification testing for regulated products, including medical devices. The ideal candidates will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong documentation skills using electronic notebooks, and experience working in a GMP-regulated environment. Experience with flow-accuracy or performance testing is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on products, systems, and components to evaluate performance, reliability, and durability.
- Conduct reliability and lifecycle testing to simulate extended product use and identify potential failure modes.
- Execute verification and validation testing to ensure products meet defined design, performance, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform flow-accuracy and functional performance testing where applicable; experience with pumps or fluid-handling systems is a strong plus.
- Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Document test procedures, results, and observations using electronic lab notebooks in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Analyze test data, identify trends or issues, and clearly communicate results to engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Assist with troubleshooting, investigations, and resolution of test failures or performance deviations.
- Support continuous improvement of test methods, protocols, and laboratory processes.
- Ensure testing activities follow quality system procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant engineering technician, laboratory, or testing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment with strong attention to documentation and data integrity.
- Proficiency in using electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and structured test documentation practices.
- Hands-on experience with functional, performance, reliability, or verification testing.
- Experience with flow-accuracy testing, fluid systems, or pump-based technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with reliability testing methodologies and long-duration or stress testing.
- Ability to read and interpret test protocols, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting test data.
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA) is a plus.
- Experience with test automation, data logging, or analysis software is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
