    Job Description

    As an Engineering Technician, you will support the design, assembly, testing, and validation of power supply products and related test fixtures in a laboratory environment. You will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to build prototypes, operate machine shop equipment, run experiments, and help develop robust product build and test procedures.

    This role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering lab supporting new product development and validation activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate machine shop equipment to fabricate and modify mechanical parts, fixtures, and enclosures
    • Support engineers in the assembly of power supply prototypes and test fixtures
    • Build, modify, and maintain lab test setups to support design verification and validation activities
    • Run engineering experiments and tests, including but not limited to thermal testing, acoustic/noise, and reliability testing
    • Assist with data collection, documentation, and basic analysis of test results
    • Help develop, document, and improve product build procedures, and assembly instructions
    • Troubleshoot mechanical and assembly issues during prototype builds and testing
    • Maintain lab organization, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
    • Support engineering activities during design reviews, qualification testing, and failure analysis efforts
    • Other duties may be assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering technician role
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using machine shop tools and lab equipment
    • Experience supporting engineering teams in a laboratory or prototype environment
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, basic schematics, and assembly documentation
    • Familiarity with product assembly, test fixtures, and experimental setups
    • Experience running structured experiments and following test procedures
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
    • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
    • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working on multiple tasks in parallel
    • Experience supporting power electronics or power supply development is a plus
