Job Description: Civil Design Drafter

We are a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in water and wastewater projects in Southern California for public agencies and water and wastewater agencies. We are committed to providing quality, detailed driven engineering solutions with integrity.

We are seeking an Associate Civil Design Drafter that is detail oriented and able to proficiently draft from redlines, field data, and verbal information supplied by an Engineer into Construction Drawings for a variety of water and wastewater related projects. This position requires drafting water and sewer facilities (civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical), easement plats, maps, and various related engineering designs using AutoCAD.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highly proficient in AutoCAD (version 2017 and later) and have advanced understanding of drafting fundamentals and techniques
• Experience and proficiency with Civil3D
• 2-4 years of experience related to the Civil Engineering field
• Ability to follow company standards as well as client drawing standards
• Preferred qualities include strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and team-orientated
• Ability to execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and to prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to draft designs from all disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural, electrical)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to organize work and stay on task
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School or equivalent (required)
• Trade School or an AA Degree in related Drafting and Design preferred
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience with AutoCAD 2017 (or later)
