    Residential Architectural Designer & Manager

    Our company is a highly successful home builder and real estate developer celebrating over 50 years in the Puget Sound area. We are seeking a full-time Residential Architectural Designer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in residential design. This position requires a strong creative talent.

    Summary of Job Duties

    The position of Residential Architectural Designer/Manager resides in the Planning and Design Department with respect to residential architecture. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate execution and management of new and creative architectural drawings. The Architectural Designer is responsible for creating new product, coming up with fresh designs and innovative ideas in residential homebuilding. The ability to interface and manage with the CAD department staff, engineering, permits, production, and management on all levels is essential.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Creating New Product, Research and Development of new Plans

    - Plan Drafting

    - CAD Department Manager

    - Feasibility Studies including renderings

    - Talented creative visionary with past experience in speculative and custom plans.

    - Research and develop new plans for our key markets

    - Continual product improvement and plan updating

    - Present design ideas to Management

    - Provide Partners with regular status updates, plan updates and improvements, and any changes that will impact other aspects of production output.

    - Communicate and notify production staff of changes to plans when they occur.

    - Work with production teams to move the construction process forward to meet scheduling deadlines.

    - Generate marketing drawings and feasibility studies and assist on special assignments as needed based on current industry trends.

    - Draft and revise residential home construction plans according to local jurisdictions and I.R.C. code compliance.

    - Other duties as requested

    Qualifications

    Minimum of seven years residential drafting/architectural experience. AutoCAD experience required (Revit and/or Sketchup a plus). Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products. A willingness to bring new, fresh, creative ideas and present them to management. Education: Bachelor of Architecture or similar education. Architectural license not required. Single family production experience required. Knowledge of residential engineering preferred.
