    Accounting / Office Manager

    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    Overall responsibility for managing all financial and administrative aspects of the business of Construction Group International. Including: Human Resources, Managing 401 K Plan, Insurance, Bonding, Payroll, Certified Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking and Assistance in Tax Preparation. To help provide a fair and safe working environment for all employees.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1\. Handling and processing all aspects of construction payables and receivables

    2\. Prepare and submit project billings

    3\. Prepare monthly reports for AR and AP

    4\. Assemble subcontractor invoices, insurance certifications, release and other required documents

    5\. Month end revenue and cost accruals based on percentage of completion accounting

    6\. Preparation of Work in Progress schedule on quarterly basis, or as needed for bank/bonding/tax purposes

    7\. Process invoices daily

    8\. Set up new customer and credit accounts

    9\. Monitor Accounts Receivable / Collections

    10\. Process Account Payables and W9 verification for new vendors

    11\. Process weekly Accounts Payables and monitor invoice due dates

    12\. Asset Management process and reporting

    13\. Reconcile deposits

    14\. Process, reconcile credit card payments and code to appropriate accounts

    15\. Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed

    16\. Process monthly bank reconciliations

    17\. Assist Corporate Accountant with financial statement preparation and review

    18\. Assist Corporate Accountant with tax preparation and tax payments

    19\. Process year end and project closings

    20\. Assist employees with on-boarding, enrollment into company provided health insurance benefits and 401K plans.

    21\. Process company payroll weekly

    22\. Process Certified payrolls as required

    23\. Manage communication between company and insurance/bonding agents

    24\. Oversee Accounting Assistant position and assign with appropriate work

    25\. Additional duties as assigned

    26\. Manage the renewal of all company certifications, business licenses and other contractor licenses

    27\. Liaison between signatory unions and the company

    28\. Liaison between company and banks

    29\. Assure that correct union labor rates and benefits are applied to each union employee

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree in Accounting

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Construction Accounting

    • Knowledgeable in Accepted Accounting Principles

    • Strong Knowledge and Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

    • Knowledge of Construction Accounting Software

    • Ability to communicate professionally with all employees, agents, customers, and representatives

    • Ability to handle company financial information with confidentiality and in a professional manner

    • Ability to handle personnel information with confidentiality and in a professional manner

    • Able to work as a team
