    Junior Designer/Project Engineer

    We are a premier international engineering consulting firm in Seattle, WA - seeking Junior Designer/Project Engineer

    Our specialties are:

    • litigation support
    • building envelope
    • structural evaluations
    • remediation design with oversight during construction and repairs

    We have a fast-paced work environment in a convenient downtown Seattle location.

    Day to day responsibilities include:

    Design, technical support and drafting for building envelope details – roof, walls, openings, below-grade, plaza decks – and compile full sets or waterproofing design documents.

    On site observations to investigate and document building envelope conditions or ensure installations meet project requirements.

    Forensic analysis of component system failures and water infiltration of building envelope.

    Technical writing abilities a must – you will need the ability to compile observation data and research to produce a complete succinct report of observations.

    Maintain personal schedule and manage time to accomplish work load within timelines.

    Construction administration for various projects.

    Attend meetings with building owners, contractors, developers and architects.

    Our projects are located throughout the country, some travel may be required in this position.

    Qualifications:

    • An engineering degree and appropriate license as a professional or structural engineer in Washington State is desired. 3-5 years is ideal or EIT license.
    • A thorough understanding of building components and good working knowledge of architectural construction document development.Experience in the building envelope and related construction fields are desirable.
    • We are looking for someone who is geared toward problem solving and has good self-management and communication skills.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Proficient AutoCad experience required; currently using AutoCad 2019
    • 3+ years drafting experience
