** REQUIRED: 1 YEAR LITIGATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!!**
The English/Georgian-Speaking Paralegal will support our attorneys in all phases of case preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy plaintiff’s office, handling client communications, and medical records — all while managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
** Responsibilities:**
- Conduct intake interviews with new clients to gather case details and essential documentation.
- Assist clients in completing necessary forms and legal paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records in both physical and digital formats.
- Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure timely case processing and follow-up.
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
- Prepare and organize files for attorney review and client meetings.
- Utilize document management systems to store, track, and update client information.
- Conduct basic legal research using platforms like LexisNexis or similar databases.
- Translate or interpret for Georgian-speaking clients when needed, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
** Skills & Qualifications:**
- ** Fluent in English and Georgian** (both written and spoken) — required.
- Strong clerical and administrative skills , including data entry, filing, and record keeping.
- Excellent proofreading and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal document management systems.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume office setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Prior intake, paralegal, or legal assistant experience preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
