    SUMMARY

    Our Civil Engineering client is seeking an experienced Water Resources Project Engineer to work in Austin, TX.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide project engineering and task level management.
    • Lead and develop hydrology and hydraulic models including 1D/2D to support planning and design of flood, erosion, and water quality projects including large and small storm drain systems, stream rehabilitation and restoration, open channel design, complex culverts and bridges, dam spillways and other hydraulic structures, detention, and storm water control measures (SCMs).
    • Lead and develop civil design of drainage and civil works infrastructure including site plans, utility plans, grading, alignments and profiles, typical sections, and details.
    • Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
    • Perform water resources master planning studies including multi-objective watershed-wide flood, erosion, and/or water quality master plans.
    • Perform dam safety/dam remediation studies and design including dam assessments, breach analyses, potential failure mode analyses and risk assessments, hydraulic capacity analyses and improvements design, and emergency action plans and tabletop exercises.
    • Develop preparation of technical reports and presentations including visualization of data.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
    • MS degree in Civil Engineering preferred
    • Highly prefer experience in the Austin area
    • 4+ years of experience in water resources/storm water engineering
    • PE in the state of Texas
    • Proficient in 1D/2D hydrologic and hydraulic modeling including HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite, ArcGIS and AutoCAD
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, InfoWorks software suite, XP-SWMM, StormCAD, and/or Microstation
    • Certified Floodplain Manager highly preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
