SUMMARY
From airport master plan development to new runway design, our client knows the business of airports – from the smallest general aviation facilities to the busiest international airports. We are looking to add a qualified Aviation Design Engineer to Louisiana or Florida office. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for driving production and airfield designs.
- Helping guide the staff in the development of construction plans and specifications
- A typical day depends entirely on what type of project you may be working on.
- Working on an airfield design project would include coordinating the design team for the development of construction documents and specifications.
- Responsible for performing QC reviews throughout the life of the design.
- As a technical lead one could expect to coordinate all aspects of a project with the design team and sub-consultants daily and provide technical reviews throughout the project.
- Responsible for task management of multiple projects every day.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of civil engineering design experience dedicated in airfield design.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D design
- Airport civil design including airport pavement design
- Ability to analyze GIS data and write technical engineering reports
- US Citizen or Legal Resident (at this time, we cannot support sponsorship, i.e. H-1B or TN Visas for this position)
- Our client is offering up to $125k base salary based on experience, excellent benefits package that includes (medical, dental, vision, matching 401k plan, and a lucrative PTO plan)
What would make me stand out as a candidate?
- 5-15 years’ experience of civil engineering design dedicated to airport design.
- Knowledge and experience with AIP (Airport Improvement Program) and the grant programs
- Knowledge of FAA Airports policies and procedures
- Experience working on projects ranging in size up to $40M
