    SUMMARY

    We are seeking a qualified Senior Engineering Project Manager in San Antonio, Texas. The selected candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of the San Antonio office, as well as Identify and solicit new project opportunities, clients, and markets with specific focus in the Central Texas Region. This will include, conducting technical training workshops and serve as a mentor to a wide range of personnel and perform quality control review of completed designs and other project tasks including preliminary engineering (PER), layouts/schematics, plans and specifications, and cost estimations.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide leadership for sustained growth of the San Antonio office as a trusted Professional Engineering and Surveying firm in collaboration with the Region and the Company. This includes creating, developing, and executing a business development plan resulting in sustainable growth through increasing the project backlog of the office.
    • Grow the office by hiring employees in the San Antonio office as needed to perform project work.
    • Effectively work with all other within the Region and across the company to develop winning pursuits for project opportunities and new clients.
    • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to identify and obtain additional contracts.
    • Assist marketing personnel with marketing packages, proposal preparation, proposal review, presentations, and marketing meetings.
    • Provide oversight and leadership for project deliverable efforts through active participation. This includes managing personnel and projects (deadlines, budgets, invoicing, and healthy financial project profitability).
    • Meet with clients regularly to review project performance and sustain a feedback loop that results in continuous improvement for all our services to clients.
    • Lead a wide range of multi-disciplined project services from proposal development and award through execution and contract close-out.
    • Perform project functions of production, coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Fifteen (15) years of progressive Engineering experience designing and building infrastructure projects for state, local and private clients in and around San Antonio.
    • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or relevant engineering degree required.
    • P.E. license in the State of Texas required.
    • Recent experience working with TXDOT, counties, local entities, and cities in the Central Texas Region.
    • Recent experience working with and knowledge of local teaming partners and professional organizations.
    • Recent experience in project management and execution including direct involvement and oversight of successful deliverables.
    • Proven success in identifying, hiring, and retaining technical and professional personnel (engineers, designers, field staff, etc.) with a focus on training, developing, coaching, and mentoring those employees.
    • Ability to utilize company-wide resources, providing oversight and leadership to improve performance and efficiency through active participation to deliver on projects.
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning develop solutions, create implementation plans, and evaluate plan progress to solve complex problems.
