    SUMMARY 

    Are you an Engineering Manager with a passion for innovation and new product development? Do you enjoy practicing and executing Value Add Value Engineered projects and processes? If so, we want to hear from you. We are seeking an Engineering Manager for a manufacturing / distribution company in San Antonio, Texas.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert.
    • Hire, train and supervise engineering staff.
    • Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities to new products and technologies.
    • Prepare and deliver various engineering presentations and reports both internally and externally as required.
      • Subject-matter expert (SME) specific to technical operation, performance, and specification requirements of assigned product line,
      • Coordinate, execute, and monitor effective product, and component phase-in / phase-out plans
      • Work closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure production methods are aligned with product regulatory compliance and certification requirements
      • Maintain accurate product structure, packaging data, and design drawings utilizing 3D CAD software
      • Promote and maintain a team environment and open communication to ensure continuous and efficient productivity
      • Manage new product development projects
      • Interacts regularly with all departments to establish and maintain quality standards.
      • Communicate to leadership team improvement ideas, status of projects, and other information needed for success.
      • Domestic Travel – 10%

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), MBA preferred
      • Previous experience supervising / managing a team of (manufacturing engineers, engineering technicians)
      • 5 to 7 years of industry product design in water conditioning equipment
      • Experienced with designing smart (connected) digital technology in a manufacturing environment.
      • Successful manager supporting and motivating a high potential team (who is led and grown a team).
      • Proven track record of creating and launching new product development from cradle to grave (who can explain and provide examples of projects and products).
      • Stage-Gate experience highly preferred
      • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail.
