    SUMMARY

    We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to embark on an exciting journey of innovation and collaboration in the realm of industrial automation. As a key member of the engineering team, this engineer will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and enhancing control systems that drive efficiency and productivity across various industrial processes and machinery.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead initiatives for the electrical design, programming, and deployment of control systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and elevate operational performance.
    • Manage projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and champion continuous improvement.
    • Review quotes, budgets, and conceptual designs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
    • Develop robust control systems architecture for industrial processes and machinery.
    • Configure, program, and commission PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, and peripheral devices.
    • Lead kickoff meetings, design reviews, and project status meetings, ensuring seamless project execution.
    • Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
    • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Forge strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate progress and innovation.
    • Execute rigorous test plans to validate the functionality and reliability of control systems. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into our practices.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to enhancing existing control systems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
    • 6 years of experience in controls engineering with a focus on industrial automation.
    • Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, with expertise in industry-standard platforms.
    • AutoCAD electrical design proficiency.
    • Strong understanding of control system design principles and industrial communication protocols.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial automation. Siemens and Allen Bradley programming experience highly preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of electrical codes.
    • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%-75%.
    • Experience with EPLAN and programming experience with Fanuc, ABB, Kuka not required but a plus!
